I wept in my kitchen, listening to the news today, seeing all the people cheering and laughing. Oh Joy!
It is so amazing. Today there is no anger, no negative feelings and no judging.
And what is so touching: In our hearts, we all know, that it is not important, what skincolour someone has, what religion, what name and even gender- it is not important and never should be important. From today that is clear. Thank you America, thank you. I am speechless.
It´s time to wake up from our dreamy state and reconnect with our goals and ideals.
If you have any.
Change is in the air, excitement and hope. And I am not just referring to the U.S. elections.
Currently I am not angry at all. Maybe finally meditating and living in the moment pays off. Imagine, if we all would start living in the moment, what effect such a change in behaviour could bring..
Conscius ignorance at the very least, maybe? Or much better – an effort in conscientiousness in regard to all our actions.
No more pretending not to know, being aware of pretending not to know. Denial, delusion, ignorance,
what will happen to these loyal companions? They will never leave us, because they are just way too entertaining friends…
I am wandering off, again. In psychology there is a distinction between self perception and interpersonal perception. The perception we have of ourselves often does not comply with the image others have of us. Or how they see us. Knowing this, we are worried how some of our actions will be judged by others, how this and that remark could paint a picture of ourself as a really not likeable person. Or a really likeable person.
The fun beginns, when image and reality collide. Some master through it, with matching mannerisms, body-language and mimic. But often, our body and our face tells a different story.
Just think of former President Bill Clinton and his non-confessions: “I did not inhale” and ” I had no sexual relations with that woman”.
But what is even more entertaining – people actually believing it.
I was reading the following posts recently, and they obviously enlightened me drastically:
and, after I discovered George Carlin, it was just a matter of minutes to find out about Bill Hicks.
Finally, there is nothing more entertaining, enlightning and mindblowing than individuals being open and honest. We laugh about it, because it is funny.
Everything is changing so fast, momentarily I have a really hard time keeping up with everything.
I´ve been following the Campaign for the next president of the United States for quite some time now and even though I find it very unlikely that McCain/Palin would win, I am a bit in awe as how things will turn out. Looking back at the last eight years- first no one believed Bush to become POTUS, right?
Reading and watching the news, especially watching those unbelievable Palin rallies, I can´t believe how easily misled people are. Can anyone with a sound mind really be for Vice President Palin? In all seriousness?
What was McCain thinking in choosing her? Only someone with a cynical regard for people can make such a decision. For what does she stand for? Foreign policy? This is such a joke.
That woman doesn´t know anything. And how can it be, that with all the information available, al the resources we have to educate us – some people really buy this B*S* about Obama being a Muslim and being a terrorist? How lazy are people? And McCain has the audacity to lie in front of cameras, to paint a picture of himself that he really is not. With all due respect – he is a hero, but he is not – a caretaker of veteran´s interests. Neither is he savy enough on economical issues. Instead – he links Obama to marxists views. The only thing he stands for is SCARING people. In the same sense Bush and his administration has.
When David Letterman recently asked him about his campain, esp. Palin´s often used phrase “palling around with terrorists” McCain just laughed it off “that´s just campaigning”. Wow.
Here´s the clip (and his argument at 1:20)
I really hope, that this time around there will be some CHANGE.
When I watched Katie Couric´s interview with Hillary Clinton I was inspired by Hillary´s sense of humour, when she laughingly said, that she was amused by politics these days. She is classy and sophisticated, plus above all, a real professional.
You can watch it here
And here is a beatiful song by Sasa Matic, with a nice Sarah Palin look-a -like.
The song means “this is not my night” , Matic sings how everything goes wrong.
Meanwhile, I am off, enjoying some books and reviewing scripts… Take care
