1) Write all your goals down, and I do mean all of them!
There are too many? Who cares!
Just be careful that your goals do not interfere with your other Topics (If you want to slim down, a goal such as ” I will eat a cake a day” is not very helpful.)
You do not have to work on each topic every day. Start with one, then alternate with another.
You want to work less/more. And you want to spend more quality time with your children/wife/husband/partner ….?
Work one day longer, effectively. Use the time you have, not the time you need.

2. Resolve your motives
Write it down.
Why did you choose that specific goal vs another. What are your motivations?

3. Start within 3 days
It works. You need to start within 72hrs.
People who immediately start with some ideas, work, projects are more likely to succeed.
Make a List (again)
for example: 1. Throw away all the old magazines that are piling up.
2. tommorrow: write 1hr longer
3. Stop drinking coffee tommorrow, start drinking tea/water..

4. Do`s and Don`ts
Be realistic, try not to fly at higher game. You do not want to get lost for wrong destinations.
Again write.
Do´s : walk daily instead of taking the tube.
Write at least one page
work out at least once a week
Talk to your neighbour

Don´ts: Don´t fool yourself, that if you pause one day from your writing schedule you will be more effective the following day.
Stay away from the wine… or choccolate….
Don´t eat after midnight….

We are not born as pessimists neither are we raised as optimists.
Too much optimism is misleading,as facts and serious obstacles tend to be ignored. But then again—

What would life be if there weren´t any optimists?
Would there be any entrepreneurs without optimism?

Why is optimism often attributed with being cheery, lighthearted and just in general – lowbrow (that´s a far stretch)?
No, that is not fair. When people talk about “optimism”, they immediately bring up the phrases “having control over your life”, “being happy”, “changing your mind”, “changing your life”….
basically it´s having a General positive outlook on all things.
Sometimes this attitude is close to stupidity.

And pessimism is dark, gloomy, not friendly.
But that is stupid as well because it´s power is plain destructive.

Then again both Mr&Mrs Brightside and Mr & Mrs Doomsday have one thing in common – they have a vision.

Do you think wars are started by pessimists?
Which one is a better and accurate observer?
Who has more insight into people and their nature?

Do you think, you´re a pessimist?
1) If you´re first reaction to bad news is just a shrug,
you´re probably a lost case.
2) If you do not vote because you think it has no effect -talk to people who vote. Research, read, avoid being opinionated.
3) Instead of thinking “I told you so” say something you really feel.

Pessimism is nothing more than a shield for people from life.
But that is not neccesary. To overcome nauseating pessimism you will have to go out of your way.

Optimism is nothing more than an attitude towards life.
And do not mistake a yeasayer for an optimist.

Hmm. Not my own reality tv show, but let´s assume I had the possibilities of producing:

It´s about a former eastern european general indicated by the ITCY and occasionally hunted for war crimes (and crimes against humanity)
There´s a € 10 Million reward for information leading to his arrest.
Will he ever be arrested? Who is coming forward with decent information? Who is purposedly giving out misinformations?
What about the rumours Mladic gave away information on Karadzic´s whereabouts to save himself?
What about Wikileaks about Mladic?

It is this dilemma: I need to relax, yet when I do I have a bad conscience- as if I did something criminal.
That probably is rooted in my childhood. Always being challenged to “do something” learning, cleaning, helping out, educating myself being smart 24/7 in general etc etc.

Funny enough – there´s one piece of technology that has helped me profoundly with my dilemma. As awkward as it sounds – it is my Ipad.

So I have an issue with relaxing. But at the same time I am a dreamy type. The bossy type in me is always interested in finding more solutions for being busy. And the free spirited mind in me just wants to sleep,read, read more, meditate, eat, taking long walks for recreations and inspirations. Or do yoga so long as to flow.

This is really difficult to handle.

Amazingly enough I am writing and working well. What drives me nuts or crazy is the fact that there is not enough time.
Maybe it´s the tea I am drinking or it´s the cold weather -currently I do have way too much energy, which means I would rather spend all my time 24/7 doing those projects, but because time is limited I am only focusing on one.
Sleep is important, we humans function better with a decent dose of sleep. Within dreams there is no time limit.
What if I was capable of using the one for the other?
I used to keep a dreamjournal for many months. Then I read a few dreams. There was nothing really shocking about it. It was rather a lesson in decoding some of my recurring topics as well as just reading some interesting stories/ painting some pictures.
Nevertheless it proved to be an enormous, helpful source for my work. So I started that habit again-to keep the machine running.

Now I am really happy to sleep. The energy is still there.
And stupid as it sounds _ since I have an Ipad I am way more productive than ever.
And that leads me to something else:

I do know that there is some sort of “lucid dreaming movement”
not just since “Inception”. I believe in the power of dreaming since my childhood. As a child I was always teased for being “dreamy” or as one friend called it – having the ability to disappear within moments.
I tried some research on some sites and I watched a few Videos on Youtube about “Lucid dreaming”.

I spare anyone from listening to my dreams.
It´s one thing to read some dreams, but having to listen to dreams I still consider to be the lowest and most primitive form of conversation.

Many friends hate me for not loving “Inception”. I was impressed,but not smitten. What impressed me was the technology and the stunning effects. But the reasons I still do not fall for that story are:

Prior to Inception I saw “Shutter Island”. And I did not like it.
The atmosphere from “Shutter Island” somehow transpired to “Inception”. And then there was the constant deja-vue with the
main character´s obesession over his wife.
While watching “Inception” my mind went in four directions. One was dedicated to the story of Inception, the other to the film mentioned prior. Then I focused on the effects plus all of “Inceptions” levels.

And then my mind went off- I was suddenly only interested in Di Caprios´s motivations for taking up these two roles- apart from working with two remarkable directors.

So is “Inception” the rational follow up to “Shutter Island”?

One Thing I definetly hated about Inception is the fact that it is a solemly male centered film. Without a pun – as soon as women appear even the dreams become freakish. Oh my god! Of course they have to. Because of the woman.

And I do not say that, because I love”chick films” or whatever they are supposed to be.

But enough of that.

I love the sound of a cash machine as well. That used to be my favourite sound.
And I love the sound of victory. The quiet one.

What is truth, anyway? To know the truth is not the same as having an opinion.
On a personal level – friendship often ends because someone is disappointed or has lost trust, some enthusiasm for the friendship.
The friend has dissapointed you, because he/she failed to react a certain way. Because one believes having found some knowing about the “real character”.
“To show one´s true colours”….
Assuming, judging – These are traits that lead to confusion, but also to truth.
Truth is based on facts. But facts can be manipulated. .
If someone is dead that is a fact. To find the killer is the search for truth.
Seperating fiction from truth… this should be news.
But news — political news, are filtered trough personal opinions and interests.
And than you have Wikileaks that helps shed light on certain news that evolved to facts. And that fact then gets distorted via politicans, journalists and news outlets, because they are hurt.
But the sad part is, that many people just listen and filter those Parts parts that are relevant to their beliefsystem.
