Pretty in orange and bright red, politicos in AD
AD has compiled a little slideshow of “some of the people involved in America’s political landscape
My own AP ( as in Apartment Profiler) first was about to lash out his dismissive, snobbish, condescending design lectures – the flashy colours, upholstery, the pure brightness, golden frames – but, surprisingly after he examined the complete slideshow, he had this to say:
Ridicule and Mockery aside: isn´t it refreshing to actually not be confronted with yet another boring, generic livingroom/ home setting, being dictated by “common taste” and unspoken “decor” standards , that somehow color all rooms in white or pleasant beiges and everywhere seen and placed couches and sofas, as seen numerous times in IKEA catalogues, BoConcept , Roche-Bobois showrooms…..
This place is so bold and full of life. It literally boasts of courage and individuality.
But, it also shows that people involved in politics (professional) are on their own pace. At least, some of them.
It is nothing but an open invitation to think outside each one´s personal box and be it orange, red, gold and whatever.
It made me curious to see more homes, but of republicans. (Because Matalin is republican, so there´s the boldness. Just think about it.)
If you don´t follow my remarks, take a look at this livingroom. It pales in comparison. Surprisingly, not?
Here´s a detailed article on Matalin and Carville and their home: (AD edition January 2008) “Opposing views unite in a bold design vision near the capital”
